January Blessing- Squirrels

Hi Furfriends, I wanted to report the exciting news that the squirrels are so clever they have squiggled through the very tiny opening in the birdhouse outside. How do I know this? I saw two eyes peering at me from inside the birdhouse. I think the squirrels are pushing the birdseed to the rear of the bird house hoping the Blue Jays and Finches don't see or smell it. How clever are the bushy-tailed scampering squirrels of Sparklewood! It is truly amazing to observe God's handiwork. Nature Blessings! What's new with you? Purrs, Tankene Ice Mist

  1. Hi Tankene,
I love the word "squiggled" don't you? It rhymes with giggled. Look out, the squirrels may try to take over Sparklewood.
Our own bold squirrel runs around with a peanut on our patio and digs a hole and plants it where he may. Sometimes he (she?) digs up a small potted plant.
Our neighbor is obviously feeding him or her.

  2. Squirrels are fun to watch! The ones around the Library seem extra-meaty this year, too.

  4. Hi Sweetie...
Thank you for stopping by Country Wings in Phoenix. I love it when new guests stop by for tea or a little friendly visit. It is always my pleasure. Next time you and the dear daughters get together, please take a picture of your hands together, and the grand daughters if there are any. It is so nice to reflect back to on a happy day, or a day for memories. Our hands hold the lines to our souls. I love the hands. They can tell how hard we work, or do we work at all? So many things about a person.

Oh those pesky squirrels. My Moma and Daddy have a pecan orchard and squirrels are not their friends. They can clean a tree in nothing flat. Watch out for those clever little rascals.
I can just see them moving out the birds so they can store their peanuts inside. Everybody wants to get out of the weather.

I have signed up to follow your blog. I can't wait to see what you write about next. You are a beautiful writer. I find if I write a few words every day or post a little something each day, it makes me feel so good about myself. I will be watching for your next post. Please pop over and sign up to follow my blog as well. I would love to have you visit.

    Country hugs sweetie...Sherry
